Obstetric Medicine
Dr Nandi has undertaken additional training in Obstetric Medicine. Obstetric Medicine Physicians are specialist doctors who work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the specialist care of women with medical problems during their pregnancy, after the baby’s birth, and even during pregnancy planning.
Some medical issues affecting pregnant women that have the potential to impact on an unborn baby can be pre-existing, and others are identified during pregnancy. While some conditions are chronic and require ongoing management, others resolve after the baby’s birth – but they still need specialist management during the pregnancy and early post-delivery.
Pregnant women who have conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, high blood pressure, blood clots or blood count disorders and other medical conditions require holistic care, and Dr Nandi works with other medical specialists, your GP, midwife, and obstetrician as part of your integrated healthcare team to help ensure better health outcomes for you and your baby.
